Frequently Asked Questions

What time is Sunday morning service?

CCOV is currently meeting in person at 10:00am at 11316 W. Magnolia Boulevard in North Hollywood, and online via Facebook Live. Please join us!

Can I watch a Sunday service from home?

Yes! We broadcast Sunday morning services via Facebook Live. You can also view past services and listen to Pastor Jerrell's sermons from our Sermons page.

How should I dress for church?

Our Sunday morning service is “come as you are”. We invite you to dress casually and comfortably and you’ll fit right in. After all, the Bible tells us that God is more concerned with our hearts than He is with how we dress or look. (1 Samuel 16:7)

What is available for my children during Sunday service?

CCOV offers a Children’s Ministry for your little ones (ages 4-10) to attend once worship music ends and Pastor Jerrell’s sermon begins.

I’m an ally, but not a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Am I welcome at CCOV?

Absolutely! Everyone is welcome at CCOV. God calls us to reach out to and love all His children. We recognize that there are some—especially those in the LGBTQ+ community—who have been rejected and ostracized by other churches. Many of our church members are heterosexual allies of the LGBTQ+ community.

Is CCOV a Christian, non-denominational or interdenominational church?

Christ Chapel is an independent Christian church, which is often referred to as non-denominational or interdenominational. Each Christ Chapel has its own tax exempt status and each church operates under the guidance of a Board of Directors. CCOV is also part of the Christ Chapel Association of Churches (CCAC). CCAC provides additional accountability of the pastors to one another, offers support and guidance with various church issues that arise.

What type of worship music can I expect on Sunday morning?

Our worship music team—complete with piano, drums, electric guitar and bass—plays a variety of contemporary worship music on Sunday mornings. You’ll hear songs that you may have heard on Christian pop radio, and occasionally a classic hymn.

Do I have to tithe to attend CCOV?

While tithing is not a requirement to attend CCOV, we believe that tithing is a guideline set by God for supporting our ministry to our community. Giving our treasures teaches us about generosity and allows everyone the opportunity to join in the work God has designated us to do.
